Interesting fact: Has lived as a digital nomad and worked remotely while co-founding a design studio and also successfully launching a webapp for digital nomads to find events in new cities.
TL;DR
Meet our new product designer, Jacopo Verdini, who has extensive international experience in UI/UX design and product management, and even co-founded his own design studio to serve international clients.
What did you do before Livv?
I have a background in Economics and International Marketing. I worked in Advertising in the travel sector, at KAYAK.
I’ve always been intrigued about design so I did a course in UX/UI Design and shifted my career.
I worked as a freelancer for the past 5 years, working on amazing different projects while travelling the world.
How did you become interested in health-tech and what led you to Livv Health?
I’ve been introduced to health-tech in one of my past project where I worked on an app for menstrual cycle tracking.
It was really interesting and liked how my design could actually make a big impact on other people’s health life.
I’ve been introduced to Livv by a friend of mine who worked with Sverre in the past and I immediately loved the project.
Hobbies outside the office?
As I said before, I love travelling! I tend to do many weekends away when I get the chance and I love exploring different cultures.
In my free time I like swimming and bouldering. A goal of mine is to swim across the Messina strait (the strait between Sicily and mainland Italy).
Lastly, I do love anything tech. Last year I launched my very own web app to find events in your city using AI!
Why do you believe in Livv Health and what is the problem we are solving?
I believe health data could be handled easier, and Livv can help with that. Since I travelled a lot, I lived in different countries and I found myself losing important health data when changing doctors and countries.
Also, I believe data should be understood better from the patient. Every time I get any test done such as a blood test, I always need a doctor to explain what each metric means and different other insights.
If you could have dinner with any historical figure, who would it be and why?
I think it would have to be Steve Jobs. It’s a bit basic for a tech-design lover but I am a big fan of old-school Apple and its designs.
I really would love to know more about his experiences in design and how it led to build such a successful company.
Lastly, what do you envision the healthcare system will look like in the future?
I believe AI will be integrated more and more into everyday healthcare. From very complex matters down to admin tasks.
I also believe health data will be much easier to access and much more understandable to patients.
