Livv Health - the startup on a mission to simplify medical records management closed €1.4M in pre-seed round
At Livv Health, our mission is to simplify medical records management by developing innovative, user-friendly, and patient-centric tools. We aim to enhance the healthcare experience by providing seamless access to medical records, improving communication between patients and providers, and ensuring data security. We are thrilled to announce that have successfully raised a €1.4 million pre-seed round. The round was led by byFounders (community-powered venture fund backing globally ambitious and impact-aware founders) and Inventure (early-stage VC that knows how to get Nordic and Baltic founders to the next level) with participation from Calm/Storm (founder network VC that invests in solutions improving health and wellbeing).
The problem we are solving at Livv Health
Fifty years ago, family doctors maintained comprehensive patient health records, providing clear medical context over a lifetime. Despite imperfections, this continuity ensured that someone always had a holistic understanding of a patient's health. Today, patients frequently change providers, leading to fragmented medical records scattered across numerous electronic systems in different cities and countries. These systems accumulate valuable medical information that often goes unused. By effectively utilizing this data, we could significantly enhance care quality, prevent future health issues, and save patients considerable time and effort in recounting their medical history to new providers.
Introducing Livv
The platform Livv changes how medical records are managed and shared. Our platform brings all a patient’s health records into one easy-to-access place. Livv can automatically import records from past medical providers databases, or let you manually upload files from your medical history — be they photographs, pdfs, images or time series data from your wearables. Patients can then share their complete "medical CV" with new doctors through Livv’s easy-to-use health portal.
For doctors, Livv makes it simple to see the most important parts of a patient’s medical history before or during appointments (with patient consent). This helps them provide better, faster and more personalized care. Livv also connects with wearable devices to track health data, promoting preventative care. Plus, it allows patients and doctors to communicate and follow up between visits as needed.
Long term, aggregating medical data and allowing its active use and collection over time sets the scene for moving healthcare in the direction it needs to go: away from reactive, towards proactive. Much of the global healthcare industry is trying to implement preventative care. But there have been two primary bottlenecks in getting there:
- Reliable, continuous health data for finding patterns and monitoring patient health
- A scalable and direct patient / healthcare provider line of communication
Livv is tackling both of these problems to unlock personalised preventative care at the population level.
“Livv is building the future model of how patients and doctors interact with, store and produce health data. Right now, my personal health records are spread across 7 countries and countless EMRs, and ultimately used by nobody. Livv solves this. The team behind Livv is the best one imaginable to tackle this problem. I am so stoked to get to work with them.” Magnus Hambleton, Investor at byFounders.
